thanks michael for the very clear explanation, and I agree fully.
P.S.
I'll keep my post about the sticker in the forum, I think it might be of interest for some.

Note on variants: Minor color shifts or print irregularities – often caused by low-cost production methods and lack of quality control – are not considered distinct variants in this catalog. Such differences can even be found among the few stickers on bananas in a single supermarket and are regarded as normal variation within a print run.

Hi Stefano, thanks for your message and your keen observations!

1) About identifying the country of origin: In most cases, there's no reliable way to tell just by looking at the sticker. We often know the origin only because it was printed on the box or because we received it in mint condition directly from collectors in that country. Color differences can happen, but they’re not a consistent or dependable indicator.

2) About the “likely the best snack ever” variation: You're right – there are already many variants of this series (currently 19 sets × 11 designs), and small print differences or misprints do occur. However, we’ve decided not to document these in the catalog. We believe such unique pieces are best kept and appreciated within each collector’s own collection.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts – always great to see such attention to detail!

Interesting.
1) How can one distingish the country of origin of these stickers without it being written on the sticker itself? In my collection I have some stickers of this series with the same illustrations, but with different origins, and I've noticed that different origin --> different colors used in the print. Is this the way to determine the origin of these stickers? Are there any general rules most agree on? e.g. I've noticed that Ecuador uses a more lime-ish yellow and has generally darker colors, whilst Colombia and Guatemala have lighter colors and a warmer yellow.
2) I have a "likely the best snack ever" sticker which, judging from the colors, I'd say comes from Clombia... but there's a key difference from all the others I've seen on the site: the shadow has almost no gradient, and uses mostly magenta ink instead of black, resulting in what seems like... two bananas (?). Likely a misprint.
I've taken some pictures with a microscope to confirm this. I don't know if this is worth opening an article on the forum for, I'll see.
