Foros:
I was looking at the stickers of the "likely the best snack ever" series ( https://banana-label-catalog.org/catalog/39717-chiquita-2025-slogans-bes... ), and noticed I have one in my collection that's a bit different:
In all the stickers with text "likely the best snack ever", the shadow of the banana is printed solely using a blue print screen with a gradient, but I've found one that also uses a magenta print screen, and has much less of a gradient. This result is a sticker that looks like it has two bananas.
It looks like a variation or misprint of this label: https://banana-label-catalog.org/catalog/bananalabel-220112 .
I've snapped some pictures using a microscope:
> magenta print screen for the shadow:

----> more magnification: https://i.postimg.cc/VsZkL6H5/Still0080.jpg
> a sticker with a similar illustration (this one precisely https://banana-label-catalog.org/catalog/bananalabel-220407 ), using just the blue print screen with the gradient for the shadow:

----> more magnification: https://i.postimg.cc/DZM3FWyT/Still0081.jpg
The more magnified snaps are useful for observing that, in the first case (the sticker in question), for rendering the shadow magenta and blue were used, while in the second case it looks like a third separate color (looks black) was used to make the gradient.
I find myself unable to judge if this is a misprint or a whole different version of the sticker.
> It might not be a misprint, because:
The magenta has not the same gradient used for the blue, so they probably haven't just swapped print screens erroneously.
> It might be a misprint because:
They may have tried to make a darker shade of color by overlapping magenta with blue, to avoid using black, but the print got misaligned. Still, the print screens don't look like they were meant to alight, especially when observing dot size.
Please give your feedback! Would be appreciated.
(also, I have a scanner at hand if a scan of the whole sticker is needed).
UPDATE:This is likely a print
UPDATE:
This is likely a print defect, so the sticker isn't considered a variation of the sticker already present in the catalog.
Thanks again to michael for the feedback on the topic.
