It might make sense if employees stick it "privately" on bananas and take it home to spouses and friends. Then they can mark "5". It probably didn't make it to the commercial network.
I don't consider it BL.
From my point of view it makes much sense to print the employees of a packing station on banana labels. SIXAOLA is one of the first brands promised 'FAIR TRADE'. And to see that not companies but concrete people in Costa Rica have the benefit does help to pay more money for the bananas in the supermarked. The stickers communicate the "Unique Selling Proposition" of a fair trade perfect.
However, I do not know if they are used on bananas but believe the collectors who have verified the labels with five checkmarks.
Several releases are already known, of course I expect more. It is necessary to ask the farm officials which of the banana traders ordered such a large series with portraits of "local" farm employees, in what quantity and whether it went to the trade network. These labels on cultivated bananas were definitely not exported abroad!
Not fakes, but promos.
I doubt that the farm commissioned labels with pictures of their employees and put them on the public trading network - that would be a lot of nonsense in my opinion....
I can order the production of any labels with the likeness of anyone and stick them on bananas....
Many collectors believe this are real banana labels. For example my friends Kevin and Gilberto from CR who I know both in person. They are very reliable collectors of banana labels and gave 5 checkmarks. 5 checkmarks means to be sure by 100% that this are banana labels because they have seen it. Why do you think this are fakes?
The workers on the plantation took a series of pictures that were definitely not in the commercial network.
Surely they should be marked differently than BL... Promo? Fake?
@Max: This set of Sixaola is now sorted by first name of the workers name. We have 88 labels in this set plus three pictures showing the whole set.
