The Finca Villa Lobo is in the Dominican Republic and is part of the Milagros cooperative which has been growing organic bananas since 2007. Only three years later‚ Villa Lobo began cultivation in accordance with strict Demeter guidelines – a rigorous and strict form of organic.

Since 2013 the organic bananas from Villa Lobo are also certified in accordance with FairTSA-Standards. This guarantees producers stable minimum prices which, at Villa Lobo, are 10% above the standard market prices. In addition there is also a Fairtrade premium which is directly used for improving the living and working conditions of the local plantation workers.
