Just a short reminder: In the 1990s, when banana labels were still rare, we collected every small variation. The catalog is mainly based on my private collection from that time. That is why it still contains some labels that differ only slightly.

Today, these small variations would not be included anymore. But because of existing “I have it” entries and verifications, they cannot simply be removed. This should not be a reason to keep adding more and more tiny differences - especially those caused by normal printing variations within one print run.

Thirty or forty years later, we should focus only on labels with clear differences in color, shape, or design. Otherwise, exchange lists and collections become too complicated.

The goal is a clear and usable catalog - not endless micro-variants.
