In Latin American and Chinese
In Latin American and Chinese wholesale markets there are vendors, including strolling vendors, who sell fruit labels, often generic in character, or sometimes even fake copies of major brands. So the odds are each of the generic labels here, which may be mostly from Peru, might have been used on bananas by some small dealer or seller, including supermarkets. I bought whole rolls of "banana" labels in Brazil and China that have a banana depicted on them, and some generic saying like "Fresh" or "Delicious" or "Highest Quality." A sheet of banana or other fruit labels in China, with more than 100 labels per sheet, will set you back about 15-20 cents each. Contrast that with Japan where a banana label on bagged bananas might set you back as much as $4-5 US.
