Crop Pictures of Banana Labels

It is quite important to show the banana labels with the same size and a descrete yellow background paper in the catalog. This help to compare the labels at the computer screen and does look much better in general.

Please scan with 300 dpi, maximum quality and add a nice yellow paper before closing the flap of the scanner. Use the following size in pixel when uploading your pictures. A picture of this size has got about 80KB to 90KB of data:

  • Normal banana label: 300 pixel × 405 pixel
  • Long banana label: 300 pixel × 555 pixel
  • Chiquita Sets: 300 pixel × 610 pixel
  • Dole Sets: 300 pixel × 636 pixel

This 4 sizes works for about 95% of all labels in the catalog. Most of the collectors adding labels are now member of this catalog for more than 5 years and I would say it is long enough to get some experience in cropping pictures. Please let NOT me do the work in future to replace your pictures with a resized one.

It is possible to learn it, because it is not rocket science. Just do some excersices for example with the free picture editor IrfanView. And BTW, to align the pictures horizontally should also not be an unsolvable secret to you. The editor was made for it. It is an elementary component of collecting banana labels to take a picture of the objects in an appropriate quality when publishing it at a catalog.
